Casa de campo de la patria

The cottage on Fatherland was the perfect place for our stay! My husband, mother, and six month old son were in town visiting family and friends. Matt and Wes’s home was perfect for feeling at home, having dinner in and a game night, laying out the baby playmat and toys, and doing lots of baby laundry. The location was excellent for our needs and walkable to 5 points and the Frothy Monkey! The home was well stocked and felt like walking into your own vacation home that you’ve had for years. It felt comfy and familiar. We hope to be back as we have reason to come to Nashville regularly! (P.S. incredibly soft bed, sheets, and pillows!)

Nice place to stay.

We stayed at the cottage for about two weeks (with our pets!) while our house was undergoing some renovations, and I couldn't be happier. Check in and all communication was smooth and easy. The house is charming and in a great location. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a true East Nashville experience!

The host described the property well based on what was available, but they did not make clear the entire scope of what we were walking into. So half the house was under renovation, which was fine because we had the number of rooms and bathrooms they described were available for our use. But it was definitely odd when we arrived to see a construction site. The host also left many of their belongings behind including clothes and personal items. It’s clear someone vacated this house for a weekend and it’s not a year round rental. Last, it’s not fair to put this on the host, but there is a domesticated cat hanging on the property with a collar. The neighbors seem to think that the cat belongs to the owner and, in fact, when we ask Matt; I brought this up and he said they recognized the cat, but it wasn’t theirs. This cat literally broke into the house haha and was very clued into how to get in and out. The renovations outside clothing and personal items left behind makes me question if the owner left food outside for the cat while they were gone in a panic move. The experience was a bit strange but overall we were comfortable and location was great. I hope the cat is okay! He was cute and we named him mittens

We loved the house. It felt like a home away from home. It was comfortably furnished, well stocked with the basics for what we used it for, which was hanging out and sleeping. We enjoyed the fenced in yard and the screened in porch.The location is primo. Every morning we walked to the Frothy Monkey for breakfast. Later we walked to the neighborhood boutiques. There are many top quality restaurants within walking distance as well. Our dog was so comfortable too! Thanks for having us!
